Terms of Service

These Terms form an agreement between you and Cristina Nevado Vinaras for your use of Locefy, including its website, family circles, location features, alerts, account services and subscriptions.

1. What the service provides

Locefy lets authorized family members share device location inside a private circle, configure safe places, receive arrival or departure events, view device status, trigger SOS alerts and manage related subscription access.

The service is a convenience and communication tool. It is not an emergency service, cannot guarantee that a device is reachable or accurate, and must not replace contacting local emergency services when someone may be in danger.

2. Accounts and family circles

• You must provide accurate account information and protect your credentials.
• Invitation links and codes are private and must be shared only with intended members.
• Owners and admins are responsible for managing circle access and removing unknown members.
• Each person carrying a tracked device must be informed and must provide any consent required by law.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

• Track a person secretly or without lawful authority;
• Stalk, intimidate, harass, exploit or endanger another person;
• Bypass device permissions, circle roles or access controls;
• Upload false locations or interfere with alerts and safety events;
• Probe, overload, reverse engineer or misuse the service or payment flow;
• Violate privacy, child-safety or other applicable laws.

4. Location accuracy and availability

Location and device status depend on GPS, network access, operating-system permissions, battery state and the member’s sharing settings. Information may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. Always confirm urgent situations through appropriate communication or emergency channels.

5. Trials, subscriptions and renewal

The trial length, trial charge, recurring price and billing interval are displayed before purchase. Unless cancelled, a subscription renews automatically at the disclosed interval. Taxes and currency conversion may apply.

You may cancel as described in our Cancellation Policy. Cancellation normally stops future renewal while access continues until the end of the paid period, unless the checkout or applicable law states otherwise.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend access for failed payment, security risk, unlawful use or a serious breach of these Terms. When billing access ends, family-circle functionality may be limited or suspended, while legally required account and billing records may remain.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how account, device, location, alert and billing information is processed. By using location sharing, you confirm that you understand those practices and have the authority to share the relevant device information.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, exact location, successful alert delivery or suitability for emergency response. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Changes

We may update the service and these Terms. Material changes will be communicated where required. The updated date shown above identifies the current version.
